Lynette Leith OBE
Lynette Leith OBE is Principal and Chief Executive of Boston College, joining the College in November 2025 following from her role as Vice Principal for Curriculum and Skills at Hull College. She was awarded an OBE in the 2025 New Year Honours for services to education, recognising her impact across the FE sector. Lynette is a Trustee and Board Member at the Education and Training Foundation, where she chairs the Education, Quality and Standards Committee, and National Curriculum Advisor for the Gatsby Foundation, alongside advocacy for skills policy, community development, SEND and inclusion. She is currently undertaking a PhD focused on core and character education as a driver of change for the most disadvantaged FE learners.
Lynette is a firm advocate for social inclusion in education and believes that no learner should be less advantaged than another, and that socio-economic factors play a significant role in how and when people engage in education. Owing to this Lynette is keen to deliver inclusive, accessible and innovative education which supports opportunity for all. Aligned to this she believes that the wider curriculum experience is equally important in bringing about positive change enabling young people and adults to flourish in life and work.
